Swedish (Traditional) - Relaxing, soothing, gentle. Promotes general relaxation, nourishes skin, improves circulation, increases range of motion, and relieves muscle tension. This massage is soothing, gentle, thorough, and nurturing. It can help reduce emotional and physical stress and is often recommended as part of a regular program for stress management.
Restore and Balance (Orthopedic/PNMT/CAT) - For Chronic Pain.
The following techniques are done with clothes on. It is best to wear shorts and tank top.
Orthopedic It focuses on prevention and rehabilitation of the dysfunction that cause chronic pain. This type of massage is done with less friction and therefore less pain than deep tissue work. Myofascial release, neuromuscular therapy and re-education as well as scar tissue mobilization techniques are used. Testing is done to assess the client's range of motion for the different muscle groups.
Core Alignment Technique (CAT) Eeris Kallil developed the Core Alignment Technique (CAT), which was inspired by the work of her teacher Shari Sunshine as well as her own experience. It is a unique mixture of passive movements, Shiatsu stretches and Energy Work. This technique uses slow, repetitive, range-of-motion type movement. The emphasis is on releasing blockages in the pelvis or shoulders, and aligning your spine. It will improve movement restrictions, increase flexibility and enable you to let go of old postural habits.
